i.e. 
n = 40, a = 2 and d = 4
Thus,
Sum = 40/2(2(2)+(40−1)(4))
⇒ Sum = 20 × (4 + (39 × 4))
⇒ Sum = 20 × (160)
⇒ Sum = 3200
