As per the question, interest on Capital should be 2500 (10% of 25000) & 1500 (10% of 15000).

Ram and Shyam are partners with the capital of Rs. 25,000 and Rs.15,00...
Given:
Ram's capital = Rs. 25,000
Shyam's capital = Rs. 15,000
Interest on capital = 10% p.a.
Profits earned by the firm = Rs. 2,400

To find: Interest on capital for both the partners

Solution:
Total capital = Ram's capital + Shyam's capital
= Rs. (25,000 + 15,000)
= Rs. 40,000

Interest on total capital = 10% of Rs. 40,000
= Rs. (10/100 × 40,000)
= Rs. 4,000

Share of Ram in profits = Ram's capital / Total capital × Profits
= (25,000 / 40,000) × 2,400
= Rs. 1,500

Share of Shyam in profits = Shyam's capital / Total capital × Profits
= (15,000 / 40,000) × 2,400
= Rs. 900

Interest on capital for Ram = 10% of Ram's capital
= 10% of Rs. 25,000
= Rs. 2,500

Interest on capital for Shyam = 10% of Shyam's capital
= 10% of Rs. 15,000
= Rs. 1,500

Therefore, the correct answer is option B) Rs. 1,500 and Rs. 900.
