    Given data:

    Discharge (Q) = 0.02 cumec
    Infiltration capacity (fc) = 5 cm/hr
    Area to be irrigated (A) = 0.04 Ha

    Step 1: Calculation of Water Depth

    Water depth (d) = Q x 10,000 / (A x 3600)
    d = 0.02 x 10,000 / (0.04 x 3600)
    d = 1.39 cm

    Step 2: Calculation of Infiltration Rate

    Infiltration rate (f) = fc x 10 / 6
    f = 5 x 10 / 6
    f = 41.67 mm/hr

    Advance rate (u) = f / d

    Step 4: Calculation of Maximum Area
