Select the set in which the numbers are related in the same way as are the numbers of the following sets.
(NOTE: Operations should be performed on the whole numbers, without breaking down the numbers into its constituent digits. E.g. 13 – Operations on 13 such as adding/deleting/multiplying etc. to 13 can be performed. Breaking down 13 into 1 and 3 and then performing mathematical operations on 1 and 3 is not allowed.)

Verified Answer
Select the set in which the numbers are related in the same way as are...
The logic followed here is : [(1st number × 2) + 2nd number] ÷ 10 = 3rd number
Given :
(10, 20, 4)
[(10 × 2) + 20] ÷ 10 = 4
[20 + 20] ÷ 10 = 4
40 ÷ 10 = 4
4 = 4 (LHS = RHS)
And,
(15, 30, 6)
[(15 × 2) + 30] ÷ 10 = 6
[30 + 30] ÷ 10 = 6
60 ÷ 10 = 6
6 = 6 (LHS = RHS)
So,
Option - (1) : (20, 40, 8)
[(20 × 2) + 40] ÷ 10 = 8
[40 + 40] ÷ 10 = 8
80 ÷ 10 = 8
8 = 8 (LHS = RHS)
Option - (2) : (20, 30, 8)
[(20 × 2) + 30] ÷ 10 = 6
[40 + 30] ÷ 10 = 6
70 ÷ 10 = 6
7 ≠ 6 (LHS ≠ RHS)
Option - (3) : (20, 40, 6)
[(20 × 2) + 40] ÷ 10 = 6
[40 + 40] ÷ 10 = 6
80 ÷ 10 = 6
8 ≠ 6 (LHS ≠ RHS)
Option - (4) : (10, 40, 8)
[(10 × 2) + 40] ÷ 10 = 8
[20 + 40] ÷ 10 = 8
60 ÷ 10 = 8
7 ≠ 8 (LHS ≠ RHS)
Hence, "Option - (1)" is the correct answer.

Understanding the Relationship in the Given Sets
To find the correct set of numbers that is related in the same way as the given sets (10, 20, 4) and (15, 30, 6), we need to analyze the relationship among the numbers in each set.
Analyzing the First Set (10, 20, 4)
- Operation on the first two numbers:
10 multiplied by 2 equals 20.
- Relationship with the third number:
The third number, 4, is the result of dividing the first number (10) by the second number (20):
10 / 20 equals 0.5, and when multiplied by 8 (the factor 2 from the first two numbers), we get 4.
Analyzing the Second Set (15, 30, 6)
- Operation on the first two numbers:
15 multiplied by 2 equals 30.
- Relationship with the third number:
The third number, 6, is also derived similarly:
15 / 30 equals 0.5, and multiplying by 12 (the factor 2 from the first two numbers) gives us 6.
Finding the Correct Option
Now, let’s evaluate the options based on the same relationship:
Option A: (20, 40, 8)
- Operation on the first two numbers:
20 multiplied by 2 equals 40.
- Relationship with the third number:
20 / 40 equals 0.5, and multiplying by 16 gives us 8.
Since this follows the same pattern as the original sets, option A is valid.
Other Options Analysis
- Option B: (20, 30, 8) - Does not maintain the same relationship.
- Option C: (20, 40, 6) - Incorrect, as the third number does not follow the pattern.
- Option D: (10, 40, 8) - Incorrect, as the relationship does not hold.
Conclusion
Thus, option A (20, 40, 8) is the correct choice as it maintains the same relational structure as the given sets.
