Calculation of Total Sales

Cash sales: Rs. 50,000
Cash collected from debtors: Rs. 1,30,000
Bad debts during the year: Rs. 5,000
Debtors at the beginning: Rs. 10,000

Total debtors at the end of the year can be calculated as follows:

Debtors at the beginning + Credit Sales during the year - Cash collected from debtors - Bad debts during the year = Debtors at the end of the year

Rs. 10,000 + Credit Sales – Rs. 1,30,000 – Rs. 5,000 = Debtors at the end of the year

Credit Sales = Debtors at the end of the year - Rs. 10,000 + Rs. 1,30,000 + Rs. 5,000

Credit Sales = Debtors at the end of the year + Rs. 1,25,000

Total Sales = Cash Sales + Credit Sales

Total Sales = Rs. 50,000 + (Debtors at the end of the year + Rs. 1,25,000)

Total Sales = Rs. 50,000 + Debtors at the end of the year + Rs. 1,25,000

Total Sales = Rs. 1,75,000

Therefore, the correct answer is option 'A' - Rs. 1,75,000.
