Result, Cutoffs and Normalization

The NTA releases the provisional CUET answer keys soon after the exam is conducted for all registered candidates. CUET answer keys are the documents that contain correct answer options or choices as well as entries made by the candidates. With the help of the answer keys, candidates can calculate their estimated CUET scores before the declaration of the result.

Candidates are given the option to challenge the official CUET answer key by paying a fee of INR 200 per question. An expert panel verifies challenges made by candidates. If found correct, the CUET answer key is revised accordingly. The CUET 2025 result will be prepared and declared based on the revised CUET UG 2025 final answer key.

Cutoff

The CUET 2025  cutoff will be released separately by participating institutes. The cutoff refers to the minimum marks one has to secure to qualify for the exam. While NTA will release the qualifying cutoff, participating institutes will release separate cutoffs for each programme offered by them. The CUET cutoff marks were decided based on factors such as the difficulty level of the exam, the number of test-takers, and seats, among others.

Normalisation Process

The CUET 2025 Normalisation Process is crucial due to the exam's multiple days, slots, and subjects. To address variations in question difficulty, a normalisation procedure is implemented. Some candidates might face a relatively tougher set of questions, impacting their scores compared to those attempting an easier set. The Equi-percentile method, as outlined by NTA for CUET 2025, normalises raw scores in each subject held in multiple shifts. This ensures fair comparisons across shifts, making the scores amenable to evaluation and selection processes.
