JIPMER 2020– Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) is conducting MBBS entrance exam for admission to academic session 2020-21. Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education Research (JIPMER) is an Institute of National Importance. This year, the exam is scheduled to be held on March, 2020. Registration for JIPMER 2020 will start from March, 2020 (Tentative).
The last date to apply is April 2020 (Tentative). Since test centre allotment is on a first come first serve basis, it is advisable to apply sooner rather than later. After that, those who have applied, can download hall ticket for JIPMER 2020 from their official site.
Then after exam, result will be announced by December (date is to be announced). JIPMER 2020 is a medical entrance exam that acts as gateway for admission to JIPMER Puducherry that has 150 seats, and JIPMER Karaikal that has 50 seats.

Candidates can fill and submit the application form as per schedule. It will be available in online mode at jipmer.puducherry.gov.in. Steps to apply are as follows.
Step 1– Registration. Candidates must visit jipmer.edu.in and navigate to apply online link for MBBS entrance exam. Here they enter details including name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID. Then they receive login link to registered email and mobile number after 5 minutes. Candidates must make sure that their number is not registered with DND.
Step 2– Login. Now candidates can log in with User ID and password.
Step 3– Complete application form. Now candidates can enter details including category, qualification, address, exam city preference, and upload images. Scanned copies of photograph and signature have to be uploaded. Now they can submit it.

JIPMER 2020 online application– Online application form for MBBS entrance exam will be available at jipmer.edu.in and jipmer.puducherry.gov.in from March to April 2020 (Tentative).

JIPMER 2020 online registration– After you complete first step of online registration, you get user ID and password. Check email and SMS for them. If you do not receive login link immediately, do not panic. Check that mail is not in spam or phone number is not in DND. Please note that registrations are expected in online mode only and none else.
JIPMER Eligibility Criteria 2020:
Candidates need to satisfy three criteria of eligibility. They are as follows.
Nationality: You should be an Indian national or Overseas Citizen of India.
Age: You should have completed 17 years of age at time of admission. Otherwise, you should complete 17 years of age by December 31 of year of admission. There is no upper age limit.

Physics
Study all topics taught in class 11 and 12 in Physics. This includes Electrostatics, Magnetic Effect of Current & Magnetism, Current Electricity, Electronic Devices, Optics, Electromagnetic Waves, Dual Nature of Matter, Atoms & Nuclei, Electromagnetic Induction & Alternating Current and Communication Systems.
Chemistry
Study all topics taught in class 11 and 12 in Chemistry. This includes Solid State, Solutions, Electro-Chemistry, Surface Chemistry, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, Chemical Kinetics, Coordination Compounds, Aldehyde, Ketone and Carboxylic Acids, Isolation of Elements, Biomolecules, p-Block Elements, Polymers, d- and f-Block Elements, Organic Compounds containing Nitrogen and Chemistry in Everyday Life.
Biology
Study all topics taught in class 11 and 12 in Botany and Zoology. This includes Biology are Diversity of Living Organisms, Cell Structure and Function, Human Physiology, Biology and Human Welfare, Genetics and Evolution, Plant Physiology, Ecology and Environment, Structural Organization in Animals and Plants and Biotechnology.
English
There will be the topics such as Reading Unseen Passages and Note-making, Writing Skills, and Literature and Long Reading Text.
JIPMER 2020 Admit Card
The admit card for JIPMER MBBS 2020 will be available for download online only. No candidate will receive their admit card by post. JIPMER Admit Card 2020 will be available for download for only those applicants who will successfully register for the exam. It will consist of candidate’s Name, Date of Birth, Photograph and signature, also basic information about the exam such as date, timing and address of the exam venue, roll number. It is important that the candidate should carry a print out of the Hall Ticket/ Admit Card along with a photo id proof on the day of the examination.

Questions in JIPMER 2020 MBBS Entrance Exam will be from syllabus of class XI and XII prescribed by State Board Higher Secondary and CBSE.

JIPMER MBBS Exam Centres 2020 – This year the exam will be held in 120 cities. List of cities for MBBS entrance exam 2020 will be given in the JIPMER 2020 MBBS information brochure.
JIPMER 2020 Result-
The JIPMER 2020 Result will be published online at, jipmer.puducherry.gov.in. To check the result, the candidate need to enter details such as Hall Ticket Number and Date of Birth. The result for JIPMER MBBS 2020 shall be available in pdf format. The marks/Percentile Scores of individual candidate will be also be made available on JIPMER Website. Along with the result, the Institute shall also publish the names of the candidate who are included in the Wait List. On the basis of the result of JIPMER 2020, the following merit lists will be prepared:
Normalization for JIPMER MBBS Entrance Exam 2020
If the exam takes place in two shifts, then normalization will be implemented.
The Percentile Score of a Candidate will be calculated by using the formula
= No.of Candidates from the group with aggregate mark less than a candidate / No. of Candidates in the Particular Shift X 100.
If 5000 students sit for the morning shift and a candidate who has scored 60% marks and has 3800 students below him; then his percentile score will be calculated as follows
3800/5000 x 100 = 76.
By this way, the percentile score (up to 7 decimal places) will be calculated separately for each of the five subjects (Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English Language and Comprehension & Logical and Aptitude Reasoning) and the Total. The Percentile of the Total shall not be an aggregate or average of the Percentile of individual subjects.
JIPMER 2020 Cut Off
Candidates must secure at least marks corresponding to minimum percentile in order to be considered for merit list. Those who get marks less than that will not be included in merit list.

JIPMER 2020 Counselling
Those candidates whose name appears in the Merit List will be eligible to appear for JIPMER 2020 Counselling. The candidates need to report at the counselling as per the schedule given in the Call Letter. Physical presence is must in JIPMER Counselling. There shall be 03 rounds of counselling. On the day of the counselling, biometric fingerprint and image verifications of the candidate will be done on the day of counselling. Also, the candidate must bring the relevant certificates along with one set of self-attested copies of each. Admission to all candidates is done on the basis of the merit, category of the candidates, and the availability of seats at the time of counselling.
Duration of the MBBS course is 4 years and 6 months followed by 1 year of Compulsory Rotatory Internship for award of Degree.

How much minimum marks are required to qualify?
The marks corresponding to above-mentioned percentile is needed. In JIPMER MBBS Entrance Exam, merit list shows section percentile and total percentile instead of marks.

JIPMER 2020 Admission – JIPMER is one of the two institutions that can hold medical entrance exam and does not fall under CBSE NEET UG 2020. It is in fact an Institute of National Importance. Admission to MBBS program is on basis of JIPMER MBBS entrance exam, subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria. Admission to a particular session is using rank of JIPMER MBBS Entrance Exam of that session only.
JIPMER 2020 Examination Shifts
Morning Shift
Those who get morning shift need to arrive and report at the centre by 08.00 AM. Strictly at 09:15 AM, entries will be stopped. So those who arrive later than 09:15 AM will not be able to sit for the exam.
This is being done to ensure that there is enough time for checking formalities. These include biometrics and photo capture.
Then the exam will start at 10:00 AM. It is equally important to note that you cannot leave the centre before 12:30 PM (i.e. time of close of examination).
Afternoon shift
Those who get afternoon shift need to arrive and report at the centre by 01.00 PM. In this case, strictly at 02:15 PM, entries will be stopped. Once again those who arrive later than 02:15 PM will not be able to sit for the exam.
Again, this is being done to ensure that there is enough time for checking formalities. These include biometrics and photo capture.
Then the exam will start at 03:00 PM. In this case also it is equally important to note that you cannot leave the centre before 05:30 PM (i.e. time of close of examination).
