Ans. Reena asked her friend whether she was late.

8. My father said, “Sleep early.”
Ans. My father advised me to sleep early.

9. The old woman said to Simmi, “Kindly hold my hand.”
Ans. The old woman requested Simmi to hold her hand.

10. “How far is the hotel?” The stranger inquired.
Ans. The stranger inquired how far the hotel was.

11. Prem said to Ali, “Let me write this letter, please.”
Ans. Prem requested Ali that he might be allowed to write that letter.

12. Mother said to me, “What are you learning?”
Ans. Mother asked me what I was learning.
