Worksheet Solutions: Time Goes On - 2 | Mathematics for Class 3: NCERT

(i) How old is Bincy by 02/05/2005?
Ans:
Steps to find how old Bincy is,

  • From the Birth Certificate we know that Bincy was born on 02/05/2002.
  • As per the question we have to find how old Bincy is, which means we have to find her age.
  • Then we can minus the current date to the date of birth.
  • Then it will be, 02/05/2005 - 02/05/2002
  • The date and month of birth are the same on both of the dates. Hence we can minus the year 2005 - 2002 = 3
  • Hence Bincy will be 3 years old.

(ii) Bincy was born on 02 _______ 2002.
Ans:
As per the Birth Certificate, Bincy was born on 02/05/2002.

(iii) On which date this birth certificate was registered?
Ans:
It is mentioned in the Birth Certificate that it was registered on 02/05/2002.

(iv) By 02/05/2010, Bincy will be eight years old. True / False.
Ans:
By following the same steps mentioned above, we will calculate the age of Bincy by 02/05/2010.
So we will minus 02/05/2010 by 02/05/2002.
Since both dates and months are the same, we can minus the year.
So, 2010 - 2002 = 8
Hence the given statement is true.

Q8: Mark these dates in the calendar.
(i) 5th of every month
(ii) 28th of March
