2. Plasmolysis: In plant cells, the cytoplasmic membrane pulls away from the cell wall, resulting in the cell becoming flaccid.
3. Crenation: In animal cells, the cytoplasmic membrane shrinks and becomes wrinkled, resulting in the cell becoming dehydrated.
