- Total number of students = 180
- Number of girls = 2*number of boys
- Ritesh (a boy) is ranked 34th from the top
- There are 18 girls ahead of Rupesh

To find: Number of boys after Rupesh in rank

Solution:
1. Let the number of boys be x. Then, the number of girls will be 2x.
2. Total number of students = x + 2x = 3x
3. Ritesh is ranked 34th from the top. Therefore, there are 33 students ahead of him in rank.
4. Number of girls ahead of Ritesh = 2*33 = 66
5. Number of boys ahead of Ritesh = x - 33
6. Total number of students ahead of Rupesh = 33 + 18 = 51
7. Number of girls ahead of Rupesh = 51 - (x - 33) = 84 - x
8. As per the given information, number of girls = 2*number of boys
Therefore, 2x - (84 - x) = x + 18
3x = 102
x = 34
9. Number of boys after Rupesh = Total number of boys - Number of boys ahead of Rupesh
= 34 - (x - 33)
= 34 - 1
= 33

Therefore, the number of boys after Rupesh in rank is 33, which is option (b).
