Original Triangle:
- Let the sides of the original triangle be a, b, and c.
- The area of the original triangle is given by the formula: Area = (1/2) * base * height.

Doubled Triangle:
- If each side of the triangle is doubled, the new sides will be 2a, 2b, and 2c.
- The area of the new triangle is also given by the formula: Area = (1/2) * base * height.

Calculating the Areas:
- For the original triangle, let the base be a and the height be h.
- The area of the original triangle = (1/2) * a * h.
- For the doubled triangle, the base will be 2a and the height will be 2h.
- The area of the new triangle = (1/2) * 2a * 2h = 2 * (1/2) * a * h = 2 times the area of the original triangle.

Percent Increase in Area:
- The increase in area = Area of the doubled triangle - Area of the original triangle = 2 * (1/2) * a * h - (1/2) * a * h = (1/2) * a * h.
- Percent increase in area = (Increase in area / Area of original triangle) * 100% = [(1/2) * a * h / (1/2) * a * h] * 100% = 100%.
Therefore, when each side of a triangle is doubled, the area of the new triangle is twice the area of the original triangle, resulting in a 100% increase in the area.
