According to question
A>D>G -(1)
C>E>H -(2)
D>B>F -(3)
F>G>C -(4)
By above equations..
A>D>B>F>G>C>E>H

Now when J comes who is taller than E but shorter than G (i.e. G>J>E ) , then sequence becomes...

A > D > B > F > G > CorJ > CorJ > E > H

Hense option (b) is correct because by sequence it is clear that D > J i.e. J is shorter than D.

From (ii), A > D > G From (iii),C > E > H From (vi), D > B > F From (v), G > C From (vi) F > G Combing (ii), (iii), (iv), (v) and (vi), we get 1     2    3    4     5     6    7    8               ...(vii) A > D > B > F > G > C > E > H            ...(vii) (Tallest)           (Shortest) From (vii), it is clear that A > D> B> F> G>C. According to the question, A > D > B > F > G > C > J > E > H Clearly, J is shorter than D is definitely true.
