¥¥--) Chemoheterotrophs were first organisms. They were prokaryotic like bacteria, anaerobes, as molecular oxygen was absent. They obtained energy by fermentation of some of the organic molecules present in the broth. Thus they absorbed organic molecules from outside for body building and energy.
• Chemoautotrophs - Organisms that are capable to synthesize organic molecules from inorganic molecules. E.g., Nitrifying bacteria, sulphur reducing bacteria etc.
The first organisms werea)Chemoautotrophsb)Chemo heterotrophsc)Autotro...
The first living organisms originated among organic molecules and in oxygen free atmosphere that is reducing atmosphere. they presumebly obtain energy by fermentation of some of these organic molecules. they were anaerobic, capable of respiration in the absence of oxygen . they require readymade organic material as food and thus they were heterotrophs known as chemoheterotrophs.then the supply of existing organic molecules exhausted some of the heterotrophs might have evolved into autotrophs these organisms were capable of producing their own organic molecules by chemosynthesis or photosynthesis .organisms performing chemosynthesis are called chemoautotrophs ,there were anaerobic. later photoautotrophs came into existence developing chlorophyll pigment in them by combination of simple chemicals. therefore option b is correct.
