Direction: Study the following data carefully and answer the questions accordingly.
There are six people A, B, C, D, E, and F, seating around a rectangular table facing outwards. Four of them are seating at the longer sides (two people on each of the longer side) and remaining are seating at the shorter sides (one person on each of the shorter side). D and E are not immediate neighbors. A is sitting diagonally opposite to B. F and D sit diagonally opposite to each other. B is sitting second to the left of C, who is sitting at the shorter side of the table. E is sitting two places away from A.
Q. Who is sitting opposite to F?
  • a)
    C
  • b)
    B
  • c)

Direction: Study the following data carefully and answer the questions...
Given Information:
- A, B, C, D, E, and F are seating around a rectangular table facing outwards.
- Four people are seating at the longer sides (two people on each of the longer side) and two people are seating at the shorter sides (one person on each of the shorter side).
- D and E are not immediate neighbors.
- A is sitting diagonally opposite to B.
- F and D sit diagonally opposite to each other.
- B is sitting second to the left of C, who is sitting at the shorter side of the table.
- E is sitting two places away from A.

Analysis:
- Based on the given information, we can determine the seating arrangement of the six people around the rectangular table.
- Since A is sitting diagonally opposite to B and B is sitting second to the left of C, we can determine the positions of A, B, and C.
- Since F and D sit diagonally opposite to each other, we can determine the positions of F and D.
- Since E is sitting two places away from A, we can determine the position of E.
- Once we have determined the positions of A, B, C, D, E, and F, we can identify who is sitting opposite to F.

Solution:
1. Determine the positions of A, B, and C:
- A is sitting diagonally opposite to B. Therefore, A and B should be sitting at the longer sides of the table.
- B is sitting second to the left of C, who is sitting at the shorter side of the table. Therefore, B should be sitting at one of the longer sides and C should be sitting at one of the shorter sides.
- Based on the above information, we can determine the positions of A, B, and C as follows:
- A is sitting at one end of the longer side.
- B is sitting second to the left of C.
- C is sitting at one of the shorter sides.

2. Determine the positions of D and F:
- F and D sit diagonally opposite to each other. Therefore, F and D should be sitting at the longer sides.
- Since there are only two remaining positions at the longer sides, F and D must occupy those positions.
- Based on the above information, we can determine the positions of D and F as follows:
- D is sitting at one end of the longer side.
- F is sitting at the other end of the longer side.

3. Determine the position of E:
- E is sitting two places away from A. Since A is sitting at one end of the longer side, E must be sitting at the other end of the longer side.
- Based on the above information, we can determine the position of E as follows:
- E is sitting at one end of the longer side.

4. Determine who is sitting opposite to F:
- Since F is sitting at one end of the longer side, the person sitting at the other end of the longer side must be sitting opposite to F.
- Based on the above information, we can conclude that B is sitting opposite to F.

Therefore, the answer is option 'B' (B).
