The occurrence of tides in oceans and seas is due to the gravitational force of the Sun, Moon, and Earth. This phenomenon is called tidal force. The gravitational force of the Moon is the primary cause of tides, while the Sun's gravitational force also contributes to it.

Gravitational Force of the Moon
The Moon's gravitational force is stronger on the side of the Earth closest to it and weaker on the opposite side. This difference in gravity creates a tidal bulge on both sides of the Earth. The side closest to the Moon experiences high tide, while the opposite side experiences low tide. These tides are called lunar tides and occur twice a day.

Gravitational Force of the Sun
The Sun's gravitational force also affects tides, but its effect is weaker than the Moon's. When the Sun, Moon, and Earth are aligned, the gravitational forces of the Sun and Moon combine, creating stronger tides called spring tides. When the Sun and Moon are at right angles to each other, their gravitational forces cancel each other out, resulting in weaker tides called neap tides.

Gravitational Force of the Earth
The Earth's gravitational force also contributes to the occurrence of tides. The water on the side of the Earth closest to the Moon experiences a gravitational pull towards the Moon, creating a bulge. The water on the opposite side experiences a centrifugal force, pushing it away from the Moon, creating another bulge. The Earth's rotation causes these bulges to move around the planet, resulting in the occurrence of tides.

Conclusion
In conclusion, tides occur in oceans and seas due to the gravitational force of the Sun, Moon, and Earth. The Moon's gravitational force is the primary cause of tides, while the Sun's gravitational force and the Earth's gravitational force also contribute to it. These forces create tidal bulges, resulting in the occurrence of tides.

The periodical rise and fall of the sea level, once or twice a day, mainly due to the attraction of the sun and moon, is called a tide. So, the options 1 and 2 are correct. However during formation of tides the earth's gravitational force also acting on the tides but it is countering by the centrifugal force. So, option 3 is also correct.
Obviously the answer is D.
