1. chemical analysis have shown that both the omani copper and harappan artefacts have traces of nickel, suggesting a common origin.
2.Mesopotamian texts refers to the copper coming from a region called Magan, perhaps a name for Oman.
3.Archaeologists have also found the depictions of ships and boats on seals.
4.A distinctive type of vessel(harappan jar) , coated with a thick layer of black clay has been found at omani sites, this type of jars prevent the percolation of liquid, it is possible that the harappans exchanged the contents of these vessels for omani copper.
