There are six villages namely A, B, C, D, E and F. Further, it is known that:
F is 1 km to the west of D and they are connected by motorable road.
B is 1 km to the east of E and they are connected by a muddy path which is non motorable.
A is 2 km to the north of E and they are connected by a motorable road.
C is 1 km to the east of A. C is not connected by roads. It is accessible only by a path in the jungle.
D is 1 km to the south of A and is connected by a motorable road.

Based on the information given in the question we have the following diagram representing six different villages where thick solid line represents motorable road, dotted line represents non motorable path and path of jungle is represented by thin line. 

The path that exist from village B to A is BE + EA
Time taken to cover 1 km muddy path from B to E = 30 minutes.
Time taken to cover 2 km motorable road from E to A = 2 × 10 = 20 minutes.
Total time taken = 30 + 20 = 50 min
Hence, option (b) is the correct answer.
