Verified Answer
A florist stocks six different types of flowers - Tulip, Sunflower, Da...
Observe that the contribution of daffodil, rose and marigold to the total flower count at 3:00 PM is 0% each. This implies that these three flowers have been completely sold out by 3:00 PM i.e. each of them show 100% sales.
Since, the other flowers are not completely sold out, their sales percentage will be some finite value less than 100.
Hence, options 2 and 3 can be eliminated.
Now, let there be 1000 flowers at 9:00 AM.
Hence, number of tulips, sunflowers and camellias at 9:00 AM is 200, 400 and 200 respectively.
Since the number of flowers at 3:00 PM is 10% of the flowers at the start of the day, there are 100 flowers in all at 3:00 PM.
Hence, number of tulips, sunflowers and camellias at 3:00 PM is 10, 10 and 80 respectively.
Observe that tulips and camellias start from the same base value (200) but there are fewer tulips left at 3:00 PM. i.e. there are more tulips sold than camellias.
Hence, the sale percentage of tulips is more than that of camelias.
Similarly, observe that tulips and sunflowers end at the same value (10) but there are more sunflowers (400) at the beginning of the day) i.e. there are more sunflowers sold than tulips.
Hence, the sale percentage of sunflowers is more than that of tulips.
Thus, camellias show the worst sales performance in percentage terms.
Hence, option 5
