Correct answer is C because Mrs. Pumphrey was a rich person and she gave her dog all the things which is more than enough for a dog.As a result her dog become ill because too much eating so he was admit to a veterinary hospital.In the hospital the veterinary doctor's name is Heriot. At first tricki rejected eating food.After some days he become energetic but heriot will always give a little amount of food.Every day Mrs. Pumphrey send lot of food to her dog but Mr. Heriot never give that food.So Heriot and his friends eat all that food which is send by Mrs. Pumphrey. So that is why here the narrator explained that ' They would lose all the luxuries like eggs,wine,brandy etc'.
