Ajatsatru was the son of Bimbisar,the king of Haranyaka dynasty of Magadh. He did made his way to throne by seizing it by his father..and its result was indeed bad. When Bimbisar died in prison,Mahakoshala,Ajatsatru's mother and Presanjit's sister killed herself. This made Presanjit very furious. He attacked Magadh and defeated Ajatsatru...but it was not for longer. He soon forgave his nephew and married his daughter to Ajatsatru.
