The administrative setup of the Government of India includes the following statements:

1. The Presidents Ministries/Departments are created by the President on the prime ministers advice.
- The President of India creates the Ministries/Departments on the advice of the Prime Minister of India. The President allocates business among the Ministers as per the Rules of Business of the Government of India.

2. Each of the Ministries is assigned to a Minister by the President on the prime ministers advice.
- Once the Ministries are created, the President assigns each of them to a Minister on the advice of the Prime Minister. The Minister becomes the head of the Ministry and is responsible for the functioning of the Ministry.

3. The rules for the government of Indias allocation of business are made by the President.
- The President of India makes the rules for the allocation of business among the Ministries/Departments of the Government of India. These rules are known as the Rules of Business and are framed under Article 77(3) of the Constitution of India.

The Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961 is made by the President of India under Article 77 of the Constitution for the allocation of business of the Government of India.

The Ministries/Departments of the Government of India are created by the President on the advice of the Prime Minister under these Rules. The business of the Government of India are transacted in the ministries/departments, secretariats and offices (referred to as "Department") as per the distribution of subjects specified in these Rules.
