Let's assume the initial length and breadth of the rectangle as L and B respectively.
So, the initial area of the rectangle = A = L*B

After doubling the length of the rectangle, the new length and breadth become 2L and B respectively.
So, the new area of the rectangle = A' = 2L * B = 2(L*B) = 2A

Now, we know that the area remains fixed, i.e., A = A'
So, 2A = A'
=> A'/A = 2

Therefore, the percentage change in the breadth of the rectangle can be calculated as follows:
% change in breadth = ((B' - B)/B) * 100, where B' is the new breadth

We know that A = L*B and A' = 2A
=> 2L*B = L*B'
=> B' = 2B

Substituting the value of B' in the above formula, we get:
% change in breadth = ((2B - B)/B) * 100
= (B/B) * 100
= 100%
