Ramesh sold an article for Rs. 6,750 after giving a discount of 10% o...
Let the marked price of the article be Rs. x Discount = 10%
Then, the selling price = - 10% of = (9x/10)
Now,= (9x/10)= 6750 Or x = Rs. 7,500
As per the question, if the selling price is Rs. 7,500,
then the profit earned by the Ramesh is 50%.
So, the cost price = Rs. 5,000
Therefore, the actual percentage of profit earned by selling the article for Rs. 6,750 = (Profit/CP) x 100 =(1750/5000)x 100 = 35%

Ramesh sold an article for Rs. 6,750 after giving a discount of 10% o...
Given:
Selling price after 10% discount = Rs. 6,750
Profit percentage without discount = 50%

To find: Actual percentage of profit earned

Solution:
Let the labeled price be x.
After a 10% discount, the selling price is 90% of the labeled price.
So, 90% of x = Rs. 6,750
x = (Rs. 6,750 * 100) / 90
x = Rs. 7,500

Profit percentage without discount = 50%
So, the cost price (CP) = (100 / 150) * labeled price = (2 / 3) * Rs. 7,500 = Rs. 5,000

Actual profit earned = Selling price - Cost price = Rs. 6,750 - Rs. 5,000 = Rs. 1,750

Actual percentage of profit earned = (Actual profit / CP) * 100 = (Rs. 1,750 / Rs. 5,000) * 100 = 35%

Therefore, the actual percentage of profit earned is 35%.
