List the three events that occur during the process of photosynthesis....
Photosynthesis is a process by which phototrophs convert light energy into chemical energy, which is later is used to fuel cellular activities. The chemical energy is stored in the form of sugars, which are created from water and carbon dioxide.

The three events that occur during the process Of photosynthesis are

Chlorophyll absorbs the light energy and it split the water molecule into oxygen and hydrogen.
Conversion of light energy into chemical energy
Formation of carbohydrates by reduction of carbon dioxides.
Plants capture the carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through stomata and proceed to the Calvin photosynthesis cycle. Stomata help in the exchange of gases.

Three Events of Photosynthesis and Role of Stomata

Photosynthesis is the process through which plants produce glucose and oxygen from carbon dioxide and water. This process involves three main events: absorption of light energy, conversion of light energy into chemical energy, and the formation of glucose. Stomata play a crucial role in this process.

Event 1: Absorption of Light Energy
The first event of photosynthesis involves the absorption of light energy by pigments like chlorophyll, carotenoids, and phycobilins. The photons of light energy are absorbed by these pigments, which then transfer the energy to the reaction centers of photosystems I and II.

Event 2: Conversion of Light Energy to Chemical Energy
The second event of photosynthesis involves the conversion of light energy into chemical energy. This is achieved through a series of chemical reactions that take place in the thylakoid membranes of chloroplasts. The energy stored in the reaction centers is used to create a proton gradient across the thylakoid membrane. This gradient is then used to synthesize ATP and NADPH, which are energy-rich molecules.

Event 3: Formation of Glucose
The final event of photosynthesis involves the formation of glucose. This process takes place in the stroma of the chloroplasts. The ATP and NADPH synthesized in the previous event are used to power the Calvin cycle, which converts carbon dioxide into glucose.

Role of Stomata in Photosynthesis
Stomata are tiny pores present on the surface of leaves and stems of plants. These pores help in the exchange of gases between the plant and the environment. During photosynthesis, the stomata play a crucial role in the uptake of carbon dioxide and release of oxygen.

The carbon dioxide required for photosynthesis enters the plant through the stomata. The oxygen produced during photosynthesis is also released through the stomata. Stomata also help in the regulation of water loss from the plant. When the stomata are open, water vapor is lost from the plant through transpiration. However, when the stomata are closed, water loss is reduced, which helps the plant conserve water.

In conclusion, photosynthesis involves three main events: absorption of light energy, conversion of light energy into chemical energy, and the formation of glucose. Stomata play a crucial role in the uptake of carbon dioxide and release of oxygen during photosynthesis. They also help in the regulation of water loss from the plant.
