Let x, y and z are three positive numbers and P = x y z/2 ; if (p-x): (p-y): (p-z)-3:5:7 then the ratio of x:y:zis?
Most Upvoted Answer
Let x, y and z are three positive numbers and P = x y z/2 ; if (p-x): ...
Solution:

Given, P = xyz/2 and (p-x): (p-y): (p-z) = 3:5:7

Let's assume p-x = 3k, p-y = 5k and p-z = 7k

Adding above three equations, we get

p-x + p-y + p-z = 15k

xyz/2 = 15k

xyz = 30k

Therefore, x:y:z = 10k:y/2:15k/2

Let's assume y/2 = 10

y = 20

Therefore, x:y:z = 5:10:15

Hence, the ratio of x:y:z is 5:10:15.

Let x, y and z are three positive numbers and P = x y z/2 ; if (p-x): ...
P=(X+Y+Z)/2

So 2P=X+Y+Z

Now (P−X):(P−Y):(P−Z)=3:5:7

So P−X=3,X=P−3

P−Y=5,Y=P−5

P−Z=7,Z=P−7

X+Y+Z=3P−15

2P=3P−15,P=15

Thus X=15–3=12

Y=15–5=10

Z=15–7=8

ThusX:Y:Z=12:10:8=6:5:4
