Given:

- 70% of the total number of employees are females.
- 105 female employees.
- 80% of the total number of employees got promotion.
- 35 males got promotion.

To find:

- What percentage of female employees got promotion.

Solution:

Total number of employees:
Let the total number of employees be x.
Then, 70% of x = number of female employees = 105
⇒ 0.7x = 105
⇒ x = 150

Number of males:
Number of males = Total number of employees - Number of female employees
= 150 - 105
= 45

Number of employees who got promotion:
80% of the total number of employees got promotion.
⇒ 80% of 150 = 120 employees got promotion.
Out of which, 35 are males.
So, the number of females who got promotion = 120 - 35 = 85

Percentage of female employees who got promotion:
Percentage of female employees who got promotion = (Number of female employees who got promotion / Total number of female employees) × 100
= (85 / 105) × 100
= 80(20/21)%

Therefore, option B is the correct answer.

Note: The answer can also be simplified to 38.095% (rounded off to two decimal places).
