# The heart is an organ which beats continously to act as a pump for the transport of blood.which carries other substances with it. # heart transport blood with oxygen to all parts of the body through arteries except the pulmonary artery. # The rhythemathic beating of various Chambers of heart maintains circulation of blood and transportation of substances like nutrients, oxygen, carbondioxide and other waste products. # The blood flow from heart to the lungs and back to the heart from where it pumps to  rest of the body.

Structure of the Heart
The heart is a muscular organ located in the thoracic cavity, divided into four chambers:

- Left Ventricle: Pumps oxygenated blood to the body.
Blood Flow Through the Heart
1. Deoxygenated Blood Return: Blood returns to the heart through the superior and inferior vena cavae into the right atrium.
2. Right Atrium to Right Ventricle: The right atrium contracts, sending blood through the tricuspid valve into the right ventricle.
3. Pulmonary Circulation: The right ventricle contracts, sending blood through the pulmonary valve into the pulmonary arteries, leading to the lungs for oxygenation.
4. Oxygenated Blood Return: Oxygen-rich blood returns to the heart via the pulmonary veins into the left atrium.
5. Left Atrium to Left Ventricle: The left atrium contracts, pushing blood through the mitral valve into the left ventricle.
6. Systemic Circulation: The left ventricle contracts, sending oxygenated blood through the aortic valve into the aorta, distributing it throughout the body.
Electrical Conduction System
- Sinoatrial (SA) Node: The heart's natural pacemaker, initiating the heartbeat and regulating the heart rate.
- Atrioventricular (AV) Node: Relays impulses from the atria to the ventricles, ensuring proper timing of contractions.
- Bundle of His and Purkinje Fibers: Conduct electrical impulses rapidly through the ventricles, leading to coordinated contraction.
Conclusion
