Explain the working of human heart?
The human heart is a vital organ that pumps blood throughout the body. It is responsible for maintaining the circulatory system and supplying oxygen and nutrients to all the tissues and organs. The working of the human heart can be explained in the following headings:

Anatomy of the Heart:

The human heart is a muscular organ located in the chest, slightly to the left of the center. It is about the size of a fist and weighs around 250-350 grams. The heart is divided into four chambers, namely the right atrium, left atrium, right ventricle, and left ventricle. The atria are the upper chambers that receive blood, while the ventricles are the lower chambers responsible for pumping blood out of the heart.

Blood Circulation:

The human heart works by continuously pumping blood in a circular motion throughout the body. The circulation of blood involves two types of blood vessels, arteries, and veins. Arteries carry oxygenated blood away from the heart to various parts of the body, while veins carry deoxygenated blood back to the heart. The cycle of blood circulation involves three stages, namely the pulmonary circulation, systemic circulation, and coronary circulation.

Heartbeat:

The heartbeat is the rhythmic contraction and relaxation of the heart muscles that pump blood throughout the body. The heartbeat is controlled by a specialized group of cells called the sinoatrial (SA) node, which is located in the right atrium. The SA node generates electrical impulses that travel through the heart muscles, causing them to contract and relax.

Blood Pressure:

Blood pressure is the force exerted by the blood against the walls of the blood vessels. It is measured using two values, systolic pressure, and diastolic pressure. The systolic pressure is the pressure exerted by the blood when the heart contracts, while the diastolic pressure is the pressure exerted when the heart relaxes.

Conclusion:

In summary, the human heart is a vital organ responsible for maintaining the circulatory system. It works by pumping blood in a circular motion throughout the body, which involves the pulmonary, systemic, and coronary circulation. The heartbeat is controlled by the SA node, and blood pressure is the force exerted by the blood against the walls of the blood vessels.
