Can Visually Impaired Candidates Join IFS in 2021?
As per the UPSC notification for 2021, there are no seats allocated for visually impaired candidates in the Indian Foreign Service. However, in 2020, there were some seats reserved for them.
General Cutoff for UPSC
The UPSC conducts the Civil Services Examination for recruitment to various posts, including IFS. The exam consists of three stages: Preliminary, Mains, and Interview. Candidates who clear the General Cutoff in all the three stages are eligible for selection to the IFS.
Eligibility Criteria for Visually Impaired Candidates
The eligibility criteria for visually impaired candidates to join the IFS are as follows:
- The candidate must have a degree from a recognized university
- The candidate must meet the minimum physical standards set by the government
