It is a wireless communication standard for the Internet of Things (IoT). NB-IoT belongs to the category of low-power wide-area networks (LPWAN), enabling to connect devices that need small amounts of data, low bandwidth, and long battery life. In NB-IoT applications, typically small data volume amounts need to be infrequently transmitted. Hence, statement 1 is correct.
- NB-IoT significantly improves the power consumption of user devices, system capacity and spectrum efficiency, especially in deep coverage. Battery life of more than 10 years can be supported for a wide range of use cases. Hence, statement 2 is correct.
