Thomson's model of atom proposed that1.An atom consist of a positively charged Sphere and the electrons are embedded in it.2. these negative ND positive charges are equal in magnitude , so the atom is electrically neutral. he give example of Christmas pudding ND watermelon. in pudding the Sphere was positively charged ND the dry fruits ( currant) are embedded in it similarly the red part was positively charged and seeds we're embedded in it( watermelon) The subatom absent in his model was neutron.
