- Jagirdars were required to serve the Mughal Empire in times of war.

Zamindar:
- Holders of revenue rights without obligation to perform any duty other than revenue collection.
- Zamindars were appointed by the emperor or the provincial governor.
- They had hereditary rights to their revenue collection.
- They were not required to serve the Mughal Empire in times of war.
