    Organelles containing DNA in plants

    - Nucleus: DNA is primarily located in the nucleus of plant cells. The nucleus houses the majority of the plant's genetic material, including the instructions for growth, development, and functioning of the plant.

    - Mitochondria: Mitochondria are another organelle in plant cells that contain DNA. Mitochondrial DNA is separate from nuclear DNA and is responsible for encoding some of the proteins needed for mitochondrial function.

    - Ribosome: Ribosomes are cellular structures involved in protein synthesis and do not contain DNA. They are not a site for DNA storage in plant cells.

Therefore, the correct answer is option C) 1 and 2 only, as DNA is present in the nucleus and mitochondria of plant cells.

DNA, or deoxyribonucleic acid, is the hereditary material in humans and almost all other
organisms. Nearly every cell in a person's body has the same DNA.
The information in DNA is stored as a code made up of four chemical bases: adenine (A), guanine (G), cytosine (C), and thymine (T). Human DNA consists of about 3 billion bases, and more than 99 percent of those bases are the same in all people.
In eukaryotic cells, most DNA is located in the cell nucleus (though some DNA is also contained in other organelles, such as in the mitochondria and the chloroplast in plants). Nuclear DNA is organized into linear molecules called chromosomes. So, DNA is present only in mitochondria and the nucleus. So, options 1 and 2 are correct.
Therefore, the correct answer is (c).
