Calculation of the Ratio of Males to Females in all Departments
1. IT Department:
- Number of employees in IT department = 18% of 4,500 = 810
- Ratio of males to females in IT department = 2 : 1
2. Marketing Department:
- Number of employees in Marketing department = 20% of 4,500 = 900
- Ratio of males to females in Marketing department = 2 : 3
3. HR Department:
- Number of employees in HR department = 12% of 4,500 = 540
- Ratio of males to females in HR department = 5 : 1
4. Production Department:
- Number of employees in Production department = 15% of 4,500 = 675
- Ratio of males to females in Production department = 3 : 2
5. Purchase Department:
- Number of employees in Purchase department = 24% of 4,500 = 1,080
- Ratio of males to females in Purchase department = 1 : 1
6. Accounts Department:
- Number of employees in Accounts department = 11% of 4,500 = 495
- Ratio of males to females in Accounts department = 1 : 2

Calculating Total Number of Males and Females:
- Total number of males = 2/3 * 810 + 2/5 * 900 + 5/6 * 540 + 3/5 * 675 + 1/2 * 1,080 + 1/3 * 495 = 1,080 + 360 + 450 + 405 + 540 + 165 = 2,600
- Total number of females = 1/3 * 810 + 3/5 * 900 + 1/6 * 540 + 2/5 * 675 + 1/2 * 1,080 + 2/3 * 495 = 270 + 540 + 90 + 270 + 540 + 330 = 2,040

Ratio of Total Males to Total Females:
- Total males : Total females = 2,600 : 2,040 = 65 : 51
- Simplifying the ratio by dividing both numbers by 5, we get 13 : 10
- Further simplifying by dividing by 13, we get 1 : 10/13 = 1 : 1.3
- Multiplying by 10 to get rid of the decimal, we get 10 : 13
Therefore, the ratio of total number of males to total number of females working in all departments put together is 10 : 13.
