Treat the mixture of alkene n alkyne with ozone n alkene will react with ozone to form ketone then u can extract alkyne

Any ways thnks but it will not work in every case .for e.g. butene will produce more smoke than ethyne ..coz of carbon and hydrogen is equal in ethyne but it is not in butene......I know that The complete combustion will take place in every case i.e. in alkane,alkene, alkyne when we will oxidise it with pure oxygen..without leaving any residue.....i guess  may be hydrogenation will work here

I don't knowhow we will know the substance is alkene or alkyne by chemical methodBT if u burn both the substances .......alkyne will produce more smoke than alkene ......and it will undergo incomplete combustion than alkene....their is also a concept of complete combustion ..... complete combustion take place only in the case of alkane then the alkene and incomplete complete combustion is always in alkynes ......... that's my sir said .....I don't do it experimentally....and it work in every case ......hydrogenation make alkyne into alkene and alkene in alkyne.....I don't think it worksBT if then u use bromine test then may b it work

1.Bromine water test. 2.Hydrogenation of compound. 3.Combustion reaction in normal presence of oxygen.the compound which burn with blue flame is alkane.
