Muhammad of Ghur was a invader from Ghur a small place in Afghanistan,came to capture India. He had plans to stay in our country.Many Indian Rajput kings tried to kept them away but in vain. One of them was a chahmana/Chauhan king: Prithviraj Chauhan who defeated muhammad of ghur in first battle but in this he did a serious tactical mistake.He let him go without killing him and because of his this serious mistake, he had repayed the cost of his chivalry. And next year,Muhammad returned and Prithviraj was defeated and captured. many Indian kings helped Prithviraj to defeate and capture the muslim conqueror, but jaichandra the king of Kannauj stayed away as he was a huge enemy of Prithviraj. later on many kings came to India and captured the places.one such were the Delhi sultans and the mughal empire.
