Distance from the Ground for the Person in the Lowest Basement:
The person standing on the lowest basement is 2 floors below the ground level. Given that each floor has the same height, we can calculate the height of the two basement floors combined:
2 floors * height of each floor = 2 * x = x + x = 2x
Since the total height of the building is 30m, we can set up an equation:
2x + 3x = 30m
5x = 30m
x = 6m
Therefore, the height of each floor is 6m. The person standing on the lowest basement is 2 floors below the ground level, so the distance from the ground for this person is:
2 floors * height of each floor = 2 * 6m = 12m

Distance from the Ground for the Person on the Roof of the Top Floor:
The person standing on the roof of the top floor is already at the top of the building, so the distance from the ground for this person is simply the total height of the building, which is 30m.
Therefore, the person standing on the lowest basement is 12m away from the ground, while the person on the roof of the top floor is 30m away from the ground.
