Given data:

- Ages of the two men replaced = 24 years and 30 years

Let the average age of the new persons be x years.

Initial Average Age:
- Total age of 16 men = 16 * Average age
- Total age of 16 men = 16 * x

Final Average Age:
- Total age of 16 men after replacement = 16 * (x + 1.75)

Calculation:
- Total age of 16 men before replacement = Total age of 14 men after replacement + 24 + 30
- 16 * x = 14 * x + 24 + 30
- 16x = 14x + 54
- 2x = 54
