The railway station is an important place. Trains stop here, so that passengers can climb down. From here the goods and furnishings are sent from freight trains.
Day or night, there is always a stroll at all times because the carts and yatri keep coming and going. The passenger's travels, the parivars, the voices, the rumble of trains and the engine seats etc. make it a noisy place. Sometimes this noise and hurting go great.
All from the railway station are familiar. Last Sunday I had the opportunity to visit the New Delhi Railway Station. By the way, I have gone there many times, but this was the first time to go alone. My uncle had to come from Calcutta. I was there to pick them up They were coming to Delhi for the first time.
Outside the station there were large crowds of cars, taxis, tricycles, scooters, drawers, travelers and ferries. The passengers were running with their luggage-they seemed to be running. The porter was busy carrying luggage. There were long-long queues on the ticket windows. Many people came to pick up or leave someone there. I bought a platform ticket and went in.
I took about 20 minutes to buy a platform ticket. There was huge crowd on the platform. There were many shops here, where books, tea, desserts, food, paan-bidi were being sold. There were also many ferries who were selling their belongings by a call. The carriage was moving in a little while.
At such a time, such a panic went on. People used to hurry to climb, then the second landing could be seen. In such a situation, there was a shock. Women, children and old people are having big problems. The condition was even worse in normal and unsafe coaches. The trains were full. It was half an hour late in the arrival of uncle's car.
So start enjoying the scene. Men and women were present from all parts of the country. Their colorful and varied garments were attractive. They were speaking in their own accents and dialects. Some people were also talking in English. It seemed as if a small India was present there.
I went to a tea stall and drink tea. Tea was hot and flavored. There were more people eating and drinking. Some people were enjoying cold drinks. There was no vacancy anywhere on the platform. Someone was lying on the floor, so there is no one seated or pretend The barches were also loaded.
TT, guards, mechanics and other employees were busy with their work. Police people were also patrolling there. The news of the arrival of trains on the loudspeaker was being given. Do not know when half an hour was bigha and Chachaji's Rajdhani Express stood on the pulsating platform. I started to look awake Uncle appeared standing in the door of the compartment. I shook my hand and immediately shook my hand in the north. I reached them before the train stopped.
The luggage was picked up and we came out of the platform. A taxi and left for the house. There was also huge traffic on the way and our taxi had to stay in place. Finally we reached home and we got a breath of peace. But that view of the railway station became memorable for me in its diversity and strangeness.
