The voltage in a circuit follows the law V=100 sin wt If the frequency is 25 Hz, how long will it take for voltage to rise to 50 volts?
Most Upvoted Answer
The voltage in a circuit follows the law V=100 sin wt If the frequency...
Solution:

Given:

Frequency (f) = 25 Hz

Voltage (V) = 50 V

V=100 sin wt

Formula:

sin wt = V/100

w = 2πf

t = (1/w) sin⁻¹(V/100)

Calculation:

w = 2πf = 2π(25) = 50π

t = (1/w) sin⁻¹(V/100) = (1/50π) sin⁻¹(0.5)

t = (1/50π) (π/6) = 0.0127 s

Answer:

It will take 0.0127 seconds for the voltage to rise to 50 volts.

V=vmsinwt, 50=100sin(2πx25)t, sin-1(1/2) =(2πx25)t
30/(2πx25)=t
t= 0.191s
