What is the accurate meaning of transition elements? Why are they call...
Hey sis...see..
Transition elements also called as transition metals. You can easily find them on periodic tabel, they are located in B groups or from Group 3 to Group 13.
Also another way to distinguish them is that if you write the electronic configuration, the elctrons end at dorbitals.
Now here a question rise yy r they called transition....actually u cant rise such question sis....if i will say y u r called as divyanshi..then what would u answer ...i guess u answer becz parents gave u this name....so during the naming of different group scientist gave these name transition....as in hindi transition means..... माध्यमिक का काल.....so these r that element who posses their electronic confugration in such a way that the electron lies in its d orbital...without completing felling the middle shells....i hope this point will also get cleared..
Now came on final question..i.e., what makes them different....then i have all ready partially discussed above....theyr unique and different than other becz.. they can have an incomplete inner subshell allowing valence electrons in a shell other than the outer shell....some of example of transition element r.....iron..copper...silver...titanium..etc.
Now i hope i have cleared ur all doubts....so if u like then plz upvote....and enjoy ur study with edurev and with me.
What is the accurate meaning of transition elements? Why are they call...
