Verified Answer
H3PO4 is a tribasic acid and one of its salt is NaH2PO4 . What volume ...
NaH^2PO^4 +2 NaOH →→Na^3PO^4 + H^2O
Thus according to this reaction 1 mol of NaH2PO4 react with 2 mol of NaOH.
Molar mass of NaH2PO4 = 120g/mol
Number of moles of NaH^2PO^4  in 12g = 12/120= 0.1 mol
Thus number of moles of NaOH required for complete reaction to occur = 2XX0.1 mol = 0.2 mol

Thus 0.2 mol NaOH is required for complete reaction.
Since molarity of NaOH is given to be 1 mol/L
This means volume of 1 mol NaOH = 1L
Thus volume of 0.2 mol NaOH = 1xx0.2 L = 0.2 L
                                             = 0.2xx1000 mL = 200 mL
Therefore 200 mL of 1 M NaOH should be added to 12 g NaH2PO4 to exactly convert it into Na^3PO^4.

H3PO4 is a tribasic acid and one of its salt is NaH2PO4 . What volume ...
Solution:

The reaction between NaH2PO4 and NaOH can be written as follows:

NaH2PO4 + 2NaOH → Na3PO4 + 2H2O

From the balanced chemical equation, it is clear that two moles of NaOH are required to convert one mole of NaH2PO4 into Na3PO4.

Given, the mass of NaH2PO4 = 12g

Molar mass of NaH2PO4 = 119.98 g/mol

Number of moles of NaH2PO4 = mass / molar mass = 12 / 119.98 = 0.1 mol

To convert 0.1 mol of NaH2PO4 into Na3PO4, we need 0.2 mol of NaOH (i.e., two moles of NaOH per mole of NaH2PO4)

Volume of 1M NaOH solution required = (0.2 mol) / (1 mol/L) = 0.2 L = 200 mL

Therefore, the correct answer is option B, which is 200 mL.
