Adding Pure Water:

When the volume of the buffer solution is increased to 2 litres by adding pure water, the pH of the resultant solution will change. The pH of the new solution can be calculated using the Henderson-Hasselbalch equation:

pH = pKa + log([A-]/[HA])

Where:
- pKa is the negative logarithm of the acid dissociation constant of the weak acid in the buffer solution

- [HA] is the concentration of the weak acid
