Acids have property to ionize into hydronium ions in their aqueous solution.
But as because in alcohols and glucose covalent bond is present that's why they do not contain ions and doesn't get ionize into hydronium ions in their aqueous solution. So they're not categorised as acids

Why are compounds like alcohols and glucose not categorized as acids?
Alcohols and glucose, despite containing hydrogen atoms, are not categorized as acids due to their chemical properties and behavior in solution.

Presence of Functional Groups
- Alcohols contain the -OH functional group, while glucose contains multiple hydroxyl (-OH) groups. These functional groups do not readily donate protons (H+ ions), which is a characteristic of acids.
- Acids, on the other hand, contain functional groups such as carboxylic acids (-COOH) that readily donate protons in solution.

Acidic Behavior
- Acids are substances that release H+ ions in water, increasing the concentration of H+ ions and lowering the pH of the solution. Alcohols and glucose do not exhibit this behavior.
- Alcohols and glucose do not ionize in water to release H+ ions, thus they do not exhibit acidic properties.

Acidity of Compounds
- Acidity is determined by the ability of a compound to donate protons. Acids readily donate protons, while alcohols and glucose do not donate protons as easily.
- This difference in proton-donating ability is what distinguishes acids from compounds like alcohols and glucose.

Conclusion
In conclusion, while compounds like alcohols and glucose contain hydrogen atoms, they are not categorized as acids due to their chemical structure, lack of proton-donating ability, and behavior in solution. It is important to understand the chemical properties of substances to correctly classify them based on their behavior in different environments.
