Resistance of wire is inversely proportional to the area of cross section.
That means, if the area of cross section of a wire is more, then the resistance of the wire is less,
and if the area of cross section is less, then the resistance of the wire is more.
Basically the concept behind is that resistance is literally means property to resist or oppose the flow of current.
And if a wire has large area of cross section, then it will offer to large amount of electron to flow or move from it, due more electric current can be pass from it.
And if the area of cross section is less then Less amount of electron would move and less current would pass from it. That's what resistance is.
That means, if the area of cross section of a wire is more, then the resistance of the wire is less,
and if the area of cross section is less, then the resistance of the wire is more.
