1. What is an electrolytic cell?

3. What are the products of electrolysis?
Ans. The products of electrolysis depend on the electrolyte being used. On the other hand, a galvanic cell is a more general term for any cell that converts chemical energy into electrical energy through a spontaneous redox reaction.
5. What are Faraday's laws of electrolysis?
Ans. Faraday's laws of electrolysis describe the relationship between the amount of substance produced or consumed during electrolysis and the amount of electric charge passed through the electrolyte. The first law states that the amount of substance produced or consumed is directly proportional to the quantity of electricity passed through the cell. The second law states that the amounts of different substances produced or consumed are directly proportional to their respective equivalent weights.
