(b) The sum of two numbers is 703. If the greater of the two numbers is 552, find the smaller number.

The smaller number will be = 703 - 552 = 151

(c) What must be added to 223 to get 665?

665 - 223 = 442 must be added to 223 to get 665.

(d) A farmer produced 815 kg wheat. 149 kg were damaged due to rain and the rest he sold. How many kilograms of wheat were sold?

Total wheat produced = 815kg

Wheat damaged = 149kg

Wheat sold = 815 - 149 = 666kgs

(e) In a school, there are 522 students. If the number of girls is 278, find the number of boys.

Total students = 552

Number of girls = 278

Number of boys = 552 - 278 = 274

(f) 754 people are standing in a queue. If the number of females is 328, find the number of males.

Number of people standing in a queue = 754 

Number of females = 328

Number of males = 754 - 328 = 492
