Can anyone give the shortcuts to solve division algorithm?
For your convenience, I am going to tell a shortcut for division algorithm.
Consider the following example:
We have to find the hcf of 38 and 6.
For this consider the greater no. To be P and the smaller no. To be D.
So,
38=P and 6=D
It is a formula,
P=DQ+R
where Q is quotient and R is remainder.
38=6*6+2 (1)
From (1),now 6 will become P and 2 as D.
So,
6=2*3+0
Therefore, 2 is the HCF as it is the last D.
Hope it helped.
