Define law of reciprocal or equivalent proportion?
Hi.. here is your answer :- ππThis law states that :- If two different elements combine separately with the same weight of a third element, the ratio of the masses in which they do so are either the same or a simple multiple of the mass ratio in which they combine.ek example se smjhte hai ..πChalo methane ko hi le lo,.. isme carbon aur hydrogen ka ratio 12:4 = 3:1 hai,...ab agr water lete hai toh isme oxygen aur hydrogen ka ratio hai 16:2 = 8:1 .. ab methane aur water me hydrogen ke alawa bhi ek ek aur element hai i.e, oxygen and carbon.. ab iss law ke hisab se ye mtlb hai ki agr ham oxygen aur carbon ka reaction karaye toh ye bhi ek simple ratio me hi react krege, i.e, (3/1) / (8/1) = 3/8 so, carbon ka mass 12 and oxygen ka mass 32 so,.. inka ratio hua 12:32 = 3:8..iska mtlb law of reciprocal proportion verified hai.. ... mere khyal se aapko samjh aa gya hogaππ€π§.. itna lamba type krne k liye upvote kre..ππ

Define law of reciprocal or equivalent proportion?
The law of reciprocal proportion states that,
βWhen two different elements separately combine with a fixed mass of a third element, the proportion in which they combine with one another shall be either in the same ratio or some multiple of it.β
For example,
, sulphur and carbon both form compounds with hydrogen.
In methane 12βg of carbon react with 4βg of hydrogen. In hydrogen sulphide, 32βg of sulphur react with 2βg of hydroge
n (i.e. 64βg of S for 4βg of hydrogen). Sulphur and carbon form a compound in which the C: S ratio is 12:64 (i.e. CS2).
